Medical Entrance Test NEET
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be held on September 12, 2021. The National Examination Agency (NTA) will start the registration process on July 8 at ntaneet. nic.n The date of the exam was finalized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health after consultation with various stakeholders including officials. The application process will start at 5 pm. The examination dates were announced by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Earlier, the test was scheduled to be held on August 2, but now a new date has been announced.
While announcing the new date, the chief further clarified that the test would be held even under strict caution. The students have been demanding suspension of NEET for a long time. Earlier, a notification was issued claiming that the medical entrance test would be held in September, which was later declared fake by the NTA. The government has also increased the number of test centers as well as cities. This has been done to ensure minimum travel for students who will take the entrance exam in the event of a pandemic.
Wearing face masks and maintaining social distance test centers will also be mandatory. To ensure social distance rules, the number of cities to be tested was increased from 155 to 198. The number of test centers will also be increased from 3862 centers used in 2020.
Protocol to ensure COVD-19 compliance, a mask will be provided to all candidates of the Center. Seats will also be ensured at the time of entry and exit, including non-stop slots, non-contact registration, proper sanitation, social distance, said Pradhan.
