The Odisha government has said it will announce the annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Class X examination by the last week of June, School and Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das said on Sunday.
“The tenth grade students are in the process of being assessed and we expect the results to be announced by the last week of June, as we said earlier. Every effort is being made to adapt to the deadline, ”said Dash.
After the state government announced in the 2021 academic session that the 10th class examination would be canceled due to an increase in covid-19 cases, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has decided to evaluate students on the basis of marks obtained in the ninth class. “Most counseling schools have already sent student numbers to the board for calculation,” official sources said.
Approximately 26666 ment schools have been selected as advisory schools that are connected to nearby schools. In the 2021 academic year, about six lakh students have registered for the 10th class board examination. Each year the tenth grade board exam is announced through mid-June.
The minister further said that preparations have been completed to start classes for live streaming on YouTube channel from June 1. “We are initially starting YouTube classes in the ninth and tenth grades but in the next few days we are planning to start all the primary, secondary YouTube classes as well as higher secondary classes. The third wave is likely to infect children further and there is uncertainty about reopening schools in the near future, as the government is also preparing children for beds and training, so YouTube classes will be quite helpful for students, ”Dash noted.
Dash said a meeting of all District Education Officers (DEO) on June 30 will be held on June 16 to discuss the next program related to YouTube classes.
