UPSC Examination Centres From July 2021
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will, if necessary, provide candidates for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2021 to change their examination centers. Considering the Covid-19 pandemic and travel problems, the Commission has decided to give the applicants an opportunity to reconsider the centers as per their choice for their convenience. The online window will be launched in two stages to change the choice of test city – the first phase will run from July 12 to July 19 and the second phase from July 26 to July 30.
Candidates can change their exams by visiting the Commission’s website upsconline.nic.in. Candidates must note that their requests for changes to the centers will be served on a “first-come-first-served” basis. Therefore, they must correct their test center as soon as possible. “After acquiring the capabilities of the specified center, the same will become official and will not be visible to the candidate. The candidate will then have to select a center from the rest,” the official statement said. UPSC will conduct CSE and IFS examinations on October 10 at multiple centers across the country.
Earlier, it was supposed to be held on June 2, but it was postponed due to the second wave of Covid-19. The Commission has set up additional centers at Almora (Uttarakhand), Srinagar (Uttarakhand), Nasik (Maharashtra), and Surat (Gujarat) for CSE and IFS examinations, keeping in view a large number of candidates. Earlier, the commission had published a revised calendar of various examinations postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Combined Medical Services Examination, which was supposed to be held on August 29, will now be held on November 21. For more information visit the official portal of UPSC.
